The triangular space with a large Spanish chestnut tree on it beside the A4113 has changed very little in the last hundred years, as these photographs show. The tree on the Green is a replacement for the tree shown in the historic photos. The current sweet chestnut tree was found as a sapling on the estate and was replanted by Arthur Morris, wheelwright, who lived next to the Wheelwright's Shop. The Green is the rump of a larger open space which was lost when the old road was moved south, and the grounds of the Hall extended.

The Village Green has been the focus for many activities over the years. At Bron Fairs, the horses were mostly bought and sold further to the east, and trading stalls were set up around the Green. The Brampton Bryan Home Guard used to assemble on the Village Green. The tree provided welcome shade on hot days for people, animals, and children playing cricket.
